Poor acceleration / idle

Hey guys, hoping you can help me. I'm in the middle of a dilemma with my other halfs NC30, for a short history the bike was running like a bag of spanners, firstly the bike would miss after about 50mph, sorted that down to the regulator and replaced for a finned one.

The bike dose not idle smoothly and upon acceleration it hesitates intermittently right through the Rev range, I can also occasionally hear a back fire through the Carbs.

So, firstly I have removed the carbs and replaced all the o-seals, the Pilot air screw was missing a o seal. Reset the screws to 2 1/4 out, set the floats to 6.7mm (think it was as I made the tool a while ago) also changed the main needle for 1mm shim instead of the 0.5. The bike has a aftermarket exhaust.

The bike dose seem better but still not right, I'm stuck now. The only thing I haven't done is balanced them.

balancing is more idle smoothness than full power when the butterflys are open but worth ruling out.

without seeing workign othe bike it could be so many things.

need to amke sure the elctrical system is running properly, check the voltages / charge of the battery at idles / 5000rpm

do you ahve good fuel flow / tap / diagphram

carbs proeprpyl clean and nothing blocked?

airbox and flap all stock and ok> air filter stock and ok?

The Carb's are clean, thouroughly went through them with a whole can of Carb cleaner and an airline, removed all the jets ect.

I'm going to double check the float heights again and go over everything to check.

The idle seems to change a bit when the bike is leant over on the stand for example.

I haven't checked the electrical side but I'll do some research on how to do it.

The airbox is all stock.
