Engine Decarb Sprays

G'day guys,
did a search but couldnt find anything - I am thinking about using some of the aerosol decarb spray on my bike (RVF) given that it's over 20 years old i'm sure that it has some carbon buildup.
I have heard stories where carbon was removed that was creating a makeshift seal (on other vehicles) by using these sprays but these are few and far between. My RVF is in great condition with low mileage but I thought that when I have the carbs off next it might be worth spraying some into the inlet ports on the head (not directly into the carbs as they will be cleaned separately).
Has anybody had any experience with using these on their VFR/RVF?
If so how did you go?
Any issues/downsides or was it all positive?
The product that I am talking about is here:
