What is the highest speed from your NC30/NC35 + mods?
Evening all. Whilst I sit here on deployment bored out of my mind a mate of mine completely denied the fact that a 400cc motorcycle could go 120/130 odd and we had a chuckle discussing it!
My personal NC30 has had an indicated 137ish (mph speedo converter on) and down a long hill never bothered sticking a gps on it but I'm well aware it's more like 120-130!
Current mods: that actually affect performance!
Extra .5mm washer (about to put RO needles on just needed abit of info on washers from him)
Drilled slides
QA Throttle
Rejetted to 118/120
PipeWerx end can (not extremely high flowing, best of both worlds IMO)
And just a very well maintained and serviced engine and carbs!
Very interested to hear your speeds and mods :)
Cheers!

Adding a 1/4mile time would be useful too, as it's pretty easy to get a high top speed on a stock bike with just gearing changes and downhill riding

No mods. Well, beyond heated grips and such.
I've seen an indicated 125mph on a regular basis on the flat.
Private track. Obviously.

I believe 125 to be the norm for these NC30s! I don't think 135 is too bad of a guess with a tail wind and a bit of a decline! But nice to hear a stock bike hitting healthy speeds :)manicguitarist wrote:No mods. Well, beyond heated grips and such.![]()

I presume that was an indicated 142...sounds pretty crazy for an NC30. I'll definitely have to try a GPS and see if I can get a better understanding of true speed. Will an iPhone with a speedo app work?venom51 wrote:ON the back straight at Road Atlanta in the draft I squeezed off 142mph....

Ummm no. That was a AIM data collection system recorded 142mph. No old fashioned speedo on the bike.

Well that is impressive to say the least! What modifications do you have? :)
