Hi,
Could someone please tell me the correct (standard) float height and main jet size for a 3EN1?
Thank you.
Regards,
Dave

Main jets are ;
92.5 in 1 an 4 cylinders.
90 in 2 and 3 cylinders.
3G2-1423A-69
3G2-14231-19
From the 3EN1 parts manual.
The float height ; I do not possess the 3EN1 supplement.
However..Yamaha use the fuel level method to measure the level in the bowls and as such do not list a measurement from part of the actual float to a datum point.
The bowls have a datum line or mark externally and a clear tube is then attached to the open drain vent and the
fuel level in the tube is measured against the datum line.
You need to search on line for a pic. and it then becomes apparent.
The level for the 3EN2 taken from the supplement is 24.8 mm.
Unfortunately I cannot read Japanese characters so am unable to expand on this
The 3EN series share the same carbs so I would imagine it to be a good starting point.
The next problem you may encounter...is what is the datum line ?
A pic. of the carb bowls would be best to identify this really.
There is either ; a large cast line half way up the bowls.
A line under the stamping MIKUNI...(known as the Mikuni line)
Or no lines at all...then it is from the gasket face.
The problem is ...many carbs from different FZR models and capacities have been substituted by P.O.s previously
and it is rare to find original unmolested carbs.
