Hey guys changing my brake pads over tomorrow. And was wondering if it is urgent that I change my disks to. Checked them today with a micrometer and they are on 3.5 mm. Wanted to get a ride in over the weekend and don't have the disks so wouldn't be able to change them for a week or so. Will using worn disk for a little longer screw up my pads?

In that case, if you must ride before replacing the discs, change the pads and bed them in on the old discs and then bed them in again on the replacements discs once fitted.

Ok so another thing I've picked up changing my front pads over. I'm assuming the disk is supposed to sit centre of the pads/ calliper housing. However it does not. It sits closer to the right of both callipers. Meaning looking at the bike front on the inside of left calliper sits closer to the left disk only a couple of mill off. And the outside of the right calliper sits closer to the right disk, nearly touching. Any ideas. I'm assuming this can't be right surely.

no its normal!!!.put the pads in and calipers on..then undo the pinch bolts at bottom of forks..pull front brake in so wheel is locked up pump 6/7 times up and down with forks..they will then find there place and settle the front wheel..they do run close to legs though..

Ok cool good to know. By pump up and down impressing you mean loading and unloading the forks.

Ok cool. So this might be a dumb question but just to be sure am I doing this while it's off the front Stand or do I want to use the front paddock stand for it.
