Anyone know which flatslides work best on the GK73A SP? I know there is a conversion out there but can't remember what it was.
Thanks!

Do you mean the FCR type smooth bore carbs?
Bandit 4 are a straight fit and I believe Jay an old time forum member fitted xjr 4 ones to his 73a way back.
I do not know if they were a 100% direct fit but all the fcr tmr type carbs are fully re buildable so can be re-racked to fit any bike.
Not the cheapest way of doing it but they fit.

They'll be the ones
What bore size are they?

just as an aside,
vm29's are too wide to fit a 73a head.
ask me which moron bought a set, vapor blasted and fully rebuilt them before actually checking if they'd fit

I reckon you'd need 33 FCR's if you can find any. sp's have 33mm cv's as std. The zxr I raced (80hp) had 33 fcr's on, and were a little tricky to set up. I had a massive ram airbox and 190 main jets! Didn't want to run until the engine was hot, but was OK once it was.

Chris why don't the vm's fit? can you not re rack them narrower.
The bandit kits, both fcr and tmr come in 28mm,30mm,32mm and 33mm ive read that they all give an increase over stock but will give different power curves.
When Gary in the US ran fcr's on his bandit he immediately felt a difference , thiswas on a race bike, don't think I'd recommend them for the road.
I have 33mm tmr's on the 73a, it's running but needs some dyno work as it wont rev out due to going rich ip top.

Tmr or fcr 32's are best on the 73a
