Fzr400 fork details

Post by Loopy247 »

currently in the mist of 3 projects with a family and forum member, dave_paxo
Got a '89 en2, streetfighter project myself, got it with 3en1 front end, have now acquired correct en2 stuff, also doing a restore type job on a 3tj, and Dave has a en1!
So what I need to know is,

En1, en2 and 3tj - fork oil weight and capacity, any help appreciated!

I know the 3tj stuff is on the forum somewhere so a search would probably turn it up. I've mixed 10 and 15 weigh oil and used it in the 3tj to firm things up a little.
There's a manual kicking around in the usa for a 1wg, it's not 3en but it can help. 3en1 is 38mm dia same as fzr600 3he so I'd probably go with that.

3en1 has smaller 285mm disks than the 298mm 3en2 and 3tj

Thank you!
I found that 3tj use 509 of 10, seemed a little much wanted to know what people use
I also know about disc sizes, I said to myself I was happy with it having the en1 front but then I worked out with en2 I could have wavy discs so bought a set up

Wavey discs - meh

You could have Brembo

As you're running without a fairing you might want adjust the suspension to suit. The 3tj info is right
