OK may sound daft but which way round do exhaust manifold copper gaskets go in. Is it seam side in or out.

I don't think it matters as they spread anyhow but my preference is solid side to the engine, whether it matters I don't know. I use a little grease to keep them in situ while I hang the pipes.
