NC31 Missing Fuel Sender

Hi All,
Recently purchased a 95 NC31 (see photo below). However before purchasing I noticed the fuel gauge not responding (check the sender arm and float I thought). Well upon draining and lifting the tank I can clearly see the issue, there is no sender unit in the bottom of the tank. It looks like the tank has been replaced by an older model. The wiring and clock work fine if I bridge the plug so all good there.
Now I can get a sender unit second hand (unless anyone knows where I can get a new one) and make a plate to mount it on, then cut and weld so its flush into the tank however I need to know (roughly) where the sender unit sits. If anyone has a photo of the underside of the tank with the unit that would be great.
Photo of bike. (Too high res and IMG Width/Height not working on this forum).
