Bedford today

Who was it at bedford on their nc30 today?
Didn't manage to see you at the end of the day and didn't get your name either.
Cracking day by the way, big track, small group, i'm definately going back.

I think the mighty 400's held their own. Nothing like riding round the outside of a shiny 1000cc sportsbike on a 25 year old bike that cost £500!

Hey, it wasn't me but I was the photographer! I always shoot with 400 bias, so lots of shots of the 400s ;-). I meant to come into the pits and check out the bikes but was too busy in the end.

Rob

Edit: were you on the CBR400 Tri Arm?

Managed my first knee down in the last session!

Ah great, yes you were getting lower and lower and faster and faster as the day went on and I was hoping you weren't going to push too hard! The photos are just uploading now to the msvt webiste. Got quite a few of yours and the NC30. PM me and I can send you a couple of thumbnails later when I get a chance if you like.

That was me on my ratty 30

Was great to meet you, pity we didn't get out in a session about the same time as each other, I was enjoying buggering off from the front too much!

Had an awesome day, got many comments about riding round the outside of people too!

Looking forward to seeing the pictures, I felt I was getting faster and faster each session, plenty of toe dragging but still need to work on body position for knee down I think.

Good 'classroom' session after lunch about knee down and the importance of it, I was aware of getting much too close to the edge of my tyre, so thought I'd spend the afternoon practicing this, well worth it I'd say.

Thanks Rob, I'll pm you now.

Wish I'd attended that now, the pictures just show me leaning like mad but not getting my body position anywhere where I'd be able to stand the bike up a bit more/get my knee down.

Something to work on next year I suppose!

The pictures of you are really good Tom, plenty of hang off style going on!

Had a good look at the photo site this afternoon, great pics Rob, definately going to buy a couple to keep for future referance.
Bikemonkey - next year? I can't wait that long, had such a great day at Bedford and felt like i had a breakthrough later in the day, I'm looking to get another booked sooner rather than later.
Chap at work has a cbr6, trying to convince him to come to Cadwell before autumn hits.

Yeah next year unfortunately, I'm out of money for the summer now my car has just cost me 4 tyres and a full service!

Plus the trailer needs a new tyre, the bike needs a new rear and my insurance is due!

Looking to do plenty next year though, brands hatch and cadwell again at least. Will have to get in on the classic bike trackdays, feel like I'm missing out there.
