3TJ exhaust link pipe alternatives?

Hi - has anyone ever used a link pipe from another bike cut down or tailored one to fit a 3TJ with a good result?
I was wondering if such as an R6 (5eb) one would fit if cut down a bit - has anyone ever tried?
Open to any suggestions/ideas on this as I've contacted someone on ebay who has them (new) but will only sell them with a silencer - which I don't need.
Alternatively has anyone got a standard battered 3tj end can that I can cut off and make a link pipe from the original?
Thanks
Mike

I don't know of any others that fit .... but I'd have though 4JH or T'Cat would be closer than R6. An exhaust fabricator could probably make one for you.

I had 4jh(micron) and 5eb(akrapovic) mufflers and both are basically the same in term of fitment, i tried to install them on the 3tj, and there are 2 things to work with:
-The link pipes have a reduction where it connects to the header (4jh and 5eb had an smaller diameter header outlet), to fit it you will have to cut the smaller diameter section.
-The bend has more angle than needed, so, to make it fit properly you will have to reduce that angle.
