hi guys, nc30s being not nice to me , first time it happened it was leaking fuel into cyl 4, bought a rebuild kit for carbies ( new needles, o ring, and needle seat) still seems to be drowning it, bike worked great before this but was at a servo for a bit with mates, come back and has very fluffy throttle, next day turned it over, and was trying to hydro lock, note. hasn't tried to hydro lock again (but don''t think its had enough fuel to fill it enough) have no clue whats happening, going to attack carbies in a minute see if there's any noticeable mistakes, cant see how there would be as bike was running great when i purchased it (adding to this, i checked the fuel tap, seems to be racing modded "spring and aluminum spacer is removed" and leaks in the off position" )

if its flooding then the float needles are not sealing prpoerly.

you sad you replaced the float vale needle and seats?

Yep, both

then if your float heights are not right the only reason it will flood is they are not sealing properly.

perhaps you have some dirty / rust from tank that has stopped one or more of them sealing proprely, or maybe you have a stuck float as in after the rebuild the float is stuck in the open position so the carb is just flooding

bang the float bowls of the carbs with the end of a hammer (dont break the carbs just to dislodge a stuck float) and see if that cures it

if not youl have to strip and check for dirt

weve stripped it again, air compressored every bit of dust out, we think we have a solution, there was fuel in the oil and when we put it back together the petrol fumes from the oil came through the air hoses into the airbox making it run rich, going to put it together, run it with no filler cap and no lines connected to airbox

If theres that much fuel in the oil you will knacker your big ends!

I'd also look into either rebuilding or replacing the tap.

this is stupid and going to kll the engine.


if your getting fuel in the cabr its like i said,, the float needles are not sealing and the carb is overflowing into the engine, or the float is stuck down.

eithway, sort the proper issue out.. its not dust.. its a leaking float. its the only way fuel can get into the oil.

Been fine for the last few weeks, no petrol in oil, was needles and floats, remaining petrol fumes in engine were being funneled through breathers, making it run rich and made the throttle weird. Let run for 10 min with breathers off and was fine after that.

Did you repair the tap?

If not it could do the same thing again
