NC30 Running issues

Hey lads and ladies,

Recently I went and rejet my carbs and followed the rejet guide that I found on here. Afterwards she was running like a pig. Took it for a test and she was struggling at low revs with an occasional backfire. If I feathered the throttle I could get some bit of power but anything over half throttle it bogged down and wouldn't rev past 10k rpm.

I took the bike to a mechanic to get her running sweet. Hes told me that he brought it back to stock jets and adjusted the float heights to spec and that she was running smooth with no issues...

Took her for a test and nothing has changed. Struggles to get going and splutters above half throttle and bogs down at full throttle.

Can anyone give me any bit of advice to sort this?

the jetting guide doesnt really deviate from stock jets by a great deal, it certainly shouldnt make it sound like you have now, apart from make it runnign sweet.

What setup did you originally have in it?

The stock jets are 110 front and back.

How was it running before you stripped it down?

Have you checked the vacuum pipe? Seated correctly and no splits in it?

It was running fine before I stripped it down. I only did a rejet because I got a new exhaust. Since then its been cleaned and put back to stock with the stock exhaust. Seated in correctly, No splits that I can see and all the vacuum pipes seem to be in good working order too.

your descriptions are a bit poor, you need to provide more information if you want somebody to help you.

so i take it you have an 1989 bike if it was running 110s.

what jets did you go upto before putting the 110s back in?

what altitue is the bike at (where are you)

what parts of the carb guide did you do?

stock exhaust and original setting is still not running right? (how so?)
