Has anyone else experienced this?
What is a likely cause? Can you dismantle the headlights to clean the inside of the lens?

To be honest, that's my concern too. It has 55/60 bulbs in - and I'm pretty sure that lots of other people use these bulbs...

I would say there's your fault.

Hmmm...maybe. I'm running stock UK bulbs - as are plenty of other people - and I'm guessing that they don't have any issues?

Keep running your uk bulbs then, what's the worst that can happen?

An update on this - I took the bulbs out and took out the, what I can only call "bulb nose cone thing*" and rammed a piece of damp sponge inside the headlight. Wiggled it around using a screwdriver - et-voila! Clean lights.

So - no idea what is causing it, but it washes off very easily,

*This was the hardest part of the operation - the screw holding it in was one of those that only allow you to screw in - thankfully it wasn't that tight and a bit of gentle persuasion with long nose pliers worked no problems. Obviously, putting it back in was no problem...
