The mechanic that fitted my sprocket set said my swingarm bearings need re-greasing. When they get to this stage, is it not best to just replace them? Or does re-greasing suffice?

I was also told this can be a pretty lengthy job depending on the state of them. I was told in the region of anything between 1-3+ hours.

Erm.

It is a big job to get the swingarm off. Any non-sealed bearings should be inspected and greased as part of general maintance.

Without getting the arm off to clean and check the bearings its hard to know if they will need replacing or not (unless they have obviouslly failed)
