I currently have pod filters on my race bike but it lacks low down grunt and I hear people that use the 400 airbox still don't get enough air in.
THINK I'VE FOUND THE ANSWER!

Fox eye engines need ram air to keep the flow of air,
I have for sale a bdk ram air system that all you need to do is get the carbs jetted if the bike rides like shite...
Paid £580 for the air box but will let it go for £400 includes postage or collection matey....if not there is a cheeper way which i will take a photo of the ram air on elliots r4 wich i feel will clear that extra bit of hight and a zxr400 air box..

off the top of my head ... I thought it was the T'cat that was ram air and the 600R wasn't ... I could be wrong though

It was just the thundercat that used ram air, the foxeye had an airbox similar to a 3tj just bigger. I had them both trying to fit them in, but gave up and stuck pod filters on in the end. The thundercat carbs have longer trumpets due to having the ram air
I'm going to the composite materials bay tomorrow since I have the day off, see if i can aquire some carbon fibre or similar to make one of these airbox's.
Oh and cheers for the offer chris but because the engine is much higher up in the frame the ram air airbox wont fit

and there is no room to squeeze the intake out of the front. That was another thing I looked at whilst building my 600

Im currently looking into using the side scoops on the fairing to give a forced airflow supply to the airbox.

I though about that too but decided the air needs to enter the airbox at the front or at least on the inside of the air filter. The box needs to be pressurised but the air inside needs to be relatively still so it's not blowing over the belmouths
