There's a very slim chance that Honda might be able to look up the key code from the chassis number, but I wouldn't hold my breath. A decent locksmith could impression the lock and cut a key to suit but it's probably cheaper to buy a new lock set than call one out.

Wasn't there a guy on eBay who could cut to a code on the ignition barrel?

Three possibilities for you -

1) The key number is stamped on the ignition lock, but you have to cut the plastic outer casing off to see it.

2 If you`re confident that your bike still has it`s original matching locks you can remove the fuel tap and shine a torch inside the tank to read the key number which is also stamped on the underside of the filler cap.

3) Express Keys in Orpington ( http://www.express-keys.co.uk/ ) can cut you a new key if you send them your ignition lock - I work for a Honda main dealership and that`s who we use...

Rick, I dont suppose you'd know if this applies to most Honda's? Reason being my CRM doesn't have it's original matching fuel cap so the ignition key doesn't fit. Does this look like it could be the Honda key number?
