CBR 400 - 600 Shock Query

So I have just checked my bike and wondered if someone could confirm for me that this showa rear suspension red shock is the one from a CBR600. I recently bought my NC29 and everyone has been saying that I would need to adjust the suspension as they were not intended for a larger western rider, but mine seems fine, is that because this modification has already been done?

Thanks in advance

Looks like it's a cbr6 shock so should be OK. At the end of the day if you're happy with the handling of the bike and it's not bottoming out over bumps then I'd leave it. If you're worried about it though pop it into a suspension expert (not sure where you are so can't recommend any) they shouldn't charge a lot to check it's set up OK for your weight (I'm talking less than £40 btw). Hope it helps.

Thanks for the prompt responses, the bike handles great and yes never bottoms out and I am 5.10' and 13.5 stone, so at the top end for this size bike and its great. I am having the bike overhauled at http://motorcyclegiant.net/west-london- ... ecialists/ who seem really nice fellas and specialise in bringing in Grey Imports. Nick the gaffer there said to take the bike in any day with bits I had and he would tend to them all. So happy days.

Shouldn't the 600 shock have a external oil chamber mine has?

I have no idea, my bike is at Motorcycle Giant in Shepherds bush currently having a huge overhaul, and he seemed to think it would not be hard to adjust for me.
