I've got a HRC NC30 exhaust in the loft. I remember reading the fron downpipes are a different sheep to allow clearance for something else? Think it was HRC radiators or something? Is this because the radiators are lowered for ram air?

I think the difference is the std pipes are bent to miss the fan,
So i dont think you can fit a fan with the HRC pipes.
I know i cannot fit a fan with my micron system.

you can get the nc30 f3 hrc manual from the downloads section.

the f3 spec nc30 doesnt have ram air just an open set of carbs

Ah yes. I've got the HRC manual in English! I remember someone on here writing that the different front down pipes aren't just a performance increase but to make room for something else, what was it?

I dont think there that different in shape, they still need to bend to clear the cooler. A straight downpipe like a hiperform wont clear the cooler.

Does the oil cooler make a massive difference? Is it different to the type that uses a modded water pump cover?

That one is the type that uses the modded water pump cover, i couldnt comment on the difference but i guess HRC thought it was a good idea, pointless with stock rads though.
