Can you pump them out with the lever? Or use compressed air in the banjo hole. I need to do the same I'm going to pump them out.

I would have to vote against compressed air. My '30's windscreen still has the spots from aerated brake fluid from the last time I did that in an enclosed garage--about 15 years ago!

Ciao,

Ciao,
lol!

Im a fan of compressed air but you must use a lotta caution.. do it AWAY from the bike, keep fingers well clear and put a heavy duty cloth over the caliper, pistons can come shooting out and clear a room!

you can get brake piston removal pliers which work great on nc30 pistons that have a hollow in the middle.. not so good on solid pistons though.

make sure you get them soaked in fluid before using pistons.

compressed air if its high enough pressure and sealed well will generall shift anything.

I might still have some spares you can have - split my calipers and have the pistons in a bag (unless I binned it when I moved house)

I ended up welding bolts into mine, as they were solid, the bike had been off the road for 15 years! Had new stainless Pistons made at a local machine shop

I have seen someone on here use two hex bolts resting at an angle against each on the inside the caliper piston and clamp the ends of the bolts with a pair of mole grips.
