Hi All,

Just wondered if someone could tell me what the difference is in the HRC nc30 needles?

Dose the profile of the needle change the fueling in mid range and if so which one does what?

Cheers

P.s. i have done a search on the threads here but cant find the one i am after.

As far as the rvf kit is concerned yes they affect the midrange and set A is the leanest

Cheers Tony,
The fuelling on the race bike is a little lumpy between 5k and 9k and is running a/f ratio of just over 12.
From 9.5k to red line it's fine, so I think I should try the next needle down.

I had exactly the same issue in the same part of the rev range and resolved it/made it better by going to a leaner needle

Cheers Luke,
Do you remeber which one you went to?

Same here on the RVF, i started as the manual suggested with the B set plus washers and ended up with the A set and no washers. Big mains though, 148F and 152R i think

Yer i think i will do the same. Down one needle and see, then drop the shim if needed.

Mine was mega rich in the midrange as you can see, it was like riding through a brick wall at times so if yours isnt too bad just a needle change will probably do

Can't remember which way is which! Rick supplies G and F needles - whichever is the leaner one.
