Hi again. Since I've had my nc30 the temp gauge has never worked properly, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I tried grounding the sender wire to the frame with the ignition on and the gauge doesn't move.

What should I do next to find the source of the problem?

Check the wiring from connector at thermostat housing upto dial.if no joy its a new/replacment dial!!!.(i have a working cbr400.one!!!)
