Indicator problems

Hi all. I was working on my nc30 front fairing a few days ago and removed the indicators (disconnected the wires from the loom). When i connected the wires again the indicators weren't working, after swapping the wires around a few times they started working, but I noticed they weren't flashing at a constant pace. After the next ride the indicators stopped working, I replaced the relay and after another two rides the relay blew again. The first relay that blew after connecting the indicators was about 6 months old.

Is it possible I connected the wires incorrectly which is causing the relay to blow? (My indicator wires from the indicator housing aren't colour coded as they aren't original) Or could there be something completely unrelated making the relay blow.

This is the relay Image

Or is it just a crappy relay?
Thanks

Update: if anyone needs a relay, don't buy this brand. I bought another one of these relays and it blew as soon as I plugged it in. I then opened up the first relay which lasted six months(same brand), it wasn't blown but the contact points on the flapping piece had rusted (after just 6 months), I cleaned the contact points and the indicators are working now. Terrible quality relay.
