Simple question!!

I'm off on a long trip tomorrow, will be the first I take the bike on. Only problem is I havent figured out the logistics of the fuel lever yet...

Stupid dick you might say, but consider the bike with unoriginal fairings and no markings whatsoever. So whats reserve from off, and so on?

Thanks

R

the fuel tap should have a arrow on it,this is usually the short side!!!!
straight up is on.........straight down is reserve and to the side is off!!!!!

well the tap is well hidden behind a panel, have to get off the bike to operate it. is it 90 degrees clockwise= on- 180 degrees anticlockwise reserve? Therefore off is smack in the middle?

yip, the tap has a long side and a short side, short side up is normal. long side up is reserve, horizontal is off

Can be changed whilst on the bike, and at speed, though I'd steer clear of doing this mid-corner!
If heading for a long trip, have a sit on beforehand and get used to changing to reserve.
You'll be surprised how quickly you can do this.
Not too much bother, just get your leg out the way.
Safe journey, especially in this weather!

Thanks for all the replies! The tap is located behind a panel on my bike as I have a bodykit fitted, hence the newbie query...

Yeah, I'm gonna keep warm this trip-post a diary and soime pics when I get home!

Keep well!
