well wher to start, yesterday i bought an nc30 on ebay dor a bargain £215 or i think it is a bargain. It hasn't been started for a year so i have got to clean the carbs etc to get it up and running? I have seen a lot of these bikes converted, i know k-conversions do this but does anybody know if there is anybody in uk that does them? or alternately have any of you guys got any rear tails or front nose pieces lying around that you dont want?
thanks
mike

Does it run yet? Would be worth making it go before you make it look any different
Lets have a look at it as £215 is cheap as chips- total bargain!

Google Jap 4 performance, they do conversion kits and are tyga. I've heard bad stories about the k-conversion kits though.

il get it running alright, il get some pictures later but it really is nuthing special. Basically to blokes bought it off ebay when it was road legal and running for a track bike so they took out the headlights and filled them in, remaid the tail unit and adjusted the subframe to fit, and it don't look bad its mainly just cosmetic i believe, but i have the winter to do my work as the saying goes and use it as a runaround through the winter as my pride and joy is a gixer 400, im only 17 so i have to be careful of what i ride. one question, the back tyre and wheel is rather skinny, can you fit wider ones on or not?

150 is pretty fat for a bike of that era. I wouldn't compromise the handling by going for anything wider. Your Gixxer would be running a 140 or 150?

you could stretch to putting 160 on the back but there is nothing wrong with the 150,
as superlite says.....150 is fat enough especially for a bike of that age and size.

that site was blocked by my work so it is on this one now
http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/1478409/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I now have all the fairings off and the tank will be off shortly, does anybody know here how to remove the carbs? on the 400 it was tricky i havent looked yet but is it awkward as the gixxer or pretty straight forward?
