Exup cables
Just fitted exup valve solenoid and routed cables to the valve. I can't for the life of me remember which one goes round the top of the pulley and which one round the bottom.
The top cable at the solenoid is marked 3en1 and the lower one is 3en2.
Just can't picture it !!!!!!!!

Re: Exup cables
Turn the ignition on and you'll see the pull / top cable moves first. I found it easier to put the cables on the pulley and the pulley on the exup. Then adjust the slack in the cables

Re: Exup cables
So the top cable on the solenoid (marked 3en1) should go where on the photo below:

Top guide/left nipple on pulley or bottom guide/right nipple
Cheers

Sussed it. Didn't notice that the chrome (once upon a time) bracket at the valve end was stamped 1 & 2.
Couldn't see it on mine through the rust

Re: Exup cables
Your chrome cover should have a rubber block that locates to a hole at the cable end. It fits around the cables and stops the crap getting into the pulley - they might still be available from Yamaha and a good idea to fit them if they are
