This is a bit of a boring question, but does anyone know of a company making bolt on case protection for a VFR400, NC30. Tyga do a glue on version, but race regulations in Australia call for a bolt on cover.

Short of that does anyone have any good ideas. The bike came with a RHS cover, but the LHS just has some light aluminium silofexed to the case. This will not cut the mustard at scrutineering. Left to my own devices i usually overengineer to buggery and do a pox job of things.

I'm in a similar situation myself, my solution is to make some carbon covers that can be bolted on. Although the main method of being held on will be silcone, the bolts will just be for scrutineering.

I think i'll end up doing that for the long term, but in the short term it might just be some dodgy aluminium strapping to pass scrutineering. Are you planning on making a mold for the carbon cover or just covering the existing cover in carbon, up to the bolt holes?

I've seen that done before. Seems to pass, how efficient it is I don't know. Certainly doesn't look good! I was tossing up between making a mold of the case and making parts from that (I tend to crash a bit) or a once off. It's more work now, to make a mold, but probably a better product in the long run
