HRC carb setup on nc 30 race bike

Hi guys, I'm going to be racing next season, the bike has a standard motor running total loss and has a mercury SP1 style
full race system, is it worth running the HRC carb setup including the air tray with a standard engine, would it give me any significant power gains or is it a waste of time.
Cheers in advance.

I think you'd get better/similar performance with a ram air system plus you'll be able to fit some sort of filter to.

But you may have to wait a while to get a ready done system. NC30 HRC setup is fairly straight forward.

They aren't that much harder to do than the hrc carbs but it might be a bit more expensive than the hrc

Thanks for the info, I will probably go for the HRC setup as parts for this are readily available, I just wondered if there would be much of a power gain with the stock motor and race pipe, I also have a set of RVF cams, would this be a worthwhile mod.

For a race bike, i would deffo do it. Most of the "easy" power gains will be had by carb mods and correct carb setup. The race pipe and rvf cams will also help.

Got my bike on the dyno last week at projex, basically just running full mercury race exhaust with standard airbox and filter setup, raised the needles and altered the jetting to suit and got 60.97 bhp, should have HRC replica bits after the Christmas break and then give that a go.

Hi mate,
Happy New Racing year..!
Looking to have a crac at the F400 series (club)
In the North West myself.
Where you based.?
Got a HRC carb mod NC30 and experimenting with
A gsx-r flywheel&geni for starts.
Setting the carbs were hard work for me as a novice.
Good luck...
SteF...
