Good old exhaust question again.

Post by damedichi »

OK, so I know people have talked about this to an end, but the last mention I heard of a Delkevic exhaust system was that it was 4-1 and not so good. They appear to be 4-2-1 now, and I'm wondering if the quality has improved/dead spot in mid range removed.

Clearly if I can save a bit of money, I will, but not at the cost of performance. Near on £300 for a full system and gaskets is tempting. A GF system is my fall back choice. Also, is there much difference between the two sets of headers he offers in anyone's experience?

Regards,

DM.

Can't give advise on Delkavic but I would avoid the eBay ones from Sandy Bike Spares. More trouble than anything i have bought and sound horrible. The header clamps are made of cheese.

I had a chat with GF a few days ago, and as I was talking about my OE headers and how rusted they are, he mentioned straight away to avoid eBay tat, and delkavic items.... And since he's forgotten more than I'll ever learn about CBR 400's I'll take that as the final line!
