Hi all,

I'm in the process of cleaning up my "new" NC21. I've been trying to remove the Double-leg stand so I can clean it up and respray it... Problem is that I have removed the nut on the RH side and tried knocking the shaft back through to the LH side but it seems stuck. I didn't knock it too hard, for fear of damaging the thread on the shaft.

Does anyone know how I get this stand off? I know my answer will probably be in the maintenance manual, but I haven't been lucky enough to get my hands on one of those either...

Any suggestions would be appreciated...

I don't know how to remove the bolt (tbh it took me a while to figure out what a 'Double leg stand' is), but have you tried putting your socket/spanner on the back side of the bolt and spinning it out. It could have a thread onto the stand and uses the nut as a 'locknut'

The only way I've got centre stands out is by getting it red hot with a blow torch or cutting it out with an angle grinder, tho I'm it's just one big shaft that goes all the way through the stand? Other than that I'd be trying to paint it in situ.

It might have another thread just under the bolt head.
