Hey guys,

Bought a project bike a while back and just getting time to go at it again. The front calipers I have for the bike are in a terrible state and I am looking to replace them.

The bike is a CB400 SF Version S, so it has a four pot caliper. I was wondering does anyone know where I can get a replace set for them (I need left and right ) or is there another set that would fit the forks/disc set up.

Figured this one out myself so in case anyone needs the solution in the future the calipers from a 1998 HONDA VTR 1000 FIRESTORM is the exact same.

I bought my bike with only one brembo caliper and then tried to get a matching second one. Got it off ebay for about 40 pounds. It is off a Ducati ST2. Hope it helps.

Good to know--they do look the same! Certain early Fireblade calipers also look similar.

However, you might want to chech that the caliper pistons are indeed the same diameters, or you will be changing the master/slave ratio without realising it...

I would like to retrofit CB400 SuperFour version S Brembo calipers into my 1994 CB400 SuperFour fitted with standard Niffin Calipers. Is it achievable without changing front suspension legs?

No, I don't think it will work. The mounting lugs on the forks are different. You would have to machine some adapters (nobody makes them commercially) or fit different fork bottoms (or different forks).
