Vfr barn find! Ideas!?

Hi,

Picked up this today - 1991 vfr400 nc30, 30000km on the clock, imported in 1995, has been sitting in a shed since 2000. New fuel filter/tap, starts and idles but suspect jets all clogged up. Brake pistons seized, chain rusted, tyres were low on tread anyway. Lovely looking stock exhaust.

So, looking at fairings - thoughts on transferring my average type 8 (red white flames) from current ride, buying a Chinese kit to sell of the current ride, or finding oem (my preference). There also seems to be a little surface rust on the forks - do I try scotch brite pad this? Will need new seals, so possibly rick Oliver internals while I am there, front wheel bearings, tyres, brakes overhaul, carbs overhaul, check charging system (all plugs look good with no signs of melting), flush cooling system and generally clean!! Oh and lock set as it's missing the seat lock.

Thoughts on things/ anything else I should do, check or look at doing?

Is this a unit to de restrict the 180km limiter?

You are correct, the MMax box removes the 180kph restricter.

The cdi is standard. Nothing fancy about it I'm afraid.
