Hi guys,

I've come across this red box with 'Posh Firm Moto' written on it. Its connected to the rear loom under the side panel fairings. Ive tried searching online and some people say its a de-restrictor and some say its a 'rev booster' or 'rev limiter eliminator' which doesn't sound good to me?

Ive got a speedo healer behind the speedo which converts the kph to mph meaning it will never get to 180 hitting the de-restrictor needle behind the clock (I've been told that is how its restricted).

Do i need this red box as its stopping the tail light working. Is it even connected in the correct place as from what i can make out its just connected into the rear lights loom?

Its the same as the wire splice derestriction but in a neater package.

Yeah, with the kph to mph convertor on your bike, you don't need this.

I removed this from my bike and now I have an electrical gremlin....beware!!

My poshfirm box was wired up through the lights in the loom as well and since I removed it and reconnected the wiring for the lights my ignition/starter fuse in the main fuse box keeps blowing.

It's probably something earthing where it shouldn't but it wasn't an issue whilst the de-restricter was in place!!

This thread is not about what I expected...... from reading the thread title!

Thought it might have something to do with the girl from Dr.Who, or similar
