they give better midrange than the 30s, & have more tuning potential due to flat slides, but they are 1mm smaller than the 30s so that midrange may come at the expence of a little top end, but not much, you will have to modify the bracket that holds the throttle cables, other than that i think it is pretty much a straight swap, but i may be wrong? iv got 35 carbs on my 30 but iv got the hrc air box & air tray set up and the hrc carb kit so i cant remeber if there are any other mods that need to be done to use a standard air box. you will benifit from fitting the nc35 carb rubbers though what ever carbs you use as they make it easyer to get the carbs on and off as they are more tapered than the 30s, you will allso find that the carbs will sit a bit closer to the frame on the throttle cable side so make sure they are seated properly or you may have some clearance issues with the tank. hope this is of some use.

i was under the impression they were a stright swap once you fitted the right jets,i think gareth fitted 116's all round to run his stack and i don't think he runs 2 thorttle cables but i don't know why....

he'll be along soon enough..

have you got a set declan? from what gareth was saying they are a bloody good job and chagned his bike for the better, but i haven't ridden it back to back with mine yet so can't comment

havent got a set, but was fiddling with the NC30 ones and broke one of the plastic Y pieces that supply the fuel to carbs 1&2.
waiting on a reply from David silvers to see if they still do the part.
even if they do have the part, the carbs are in super conditions so might just get a 35 set, and sell on my NC30 ones.
i only wanna do it if its a bolt-on job, as the bike is at home in the garage in Ireland so only gets used every 6 weeks or so

As Rhory say, I do have 35's on my 30. They arre a straight swap. The only issue you'll have is you need a 35 throttle cabel. I don't bother with a return cable on it. As a quick guide.

NC30, NC35 carbs, 112's all round (I think) HRC slide springs, short velocity stack all round, HRC c/f replica tray, no snorkel on the air-bix, air-box lid is shimmed up 1mm on a twin stack 1/2 system and standard headers and rear stubby.

My personal opinion on it was that they were better on the road than the 30 carbs. Feels really strong down low and mid-range is good. Top end hasn't suffered (I don't think) due to the shortly stack and the shot-gun style system. Declan, if you need any other info just ask, but I rate the 35 carbs. Mark (cmsmj1) also uses 35's on a 30.

I'd like to eventually fit nc35 carbs to my nc30 roadie, mainly because I reckon the traits they offer (better low and mid response, etc) are better for a commuter.

I agree with Viper, forget the throttle return cable on all setups. It's more likely to rain fish than the throttle return spring breaking...

I agree with what everyone else is saying. Better response and they pop on just right!

New cables though..and I do have a return cable too :o

(been raining haddock down these parts of late)

Once the new system arrives you can look at my dyno print-out ;)
