mid range flat spot

I have just bought an nc23 about a month ago and as the subject says it has a mid range flat spot 6000-8000 rpm, looking at some of the papers that I got with the bike it has 112 main jets and also has a blue flame evo can fitted to the stock pipes

I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do improve this without busting the bank as I'm a strapped for cash atm

Thanks

Had the same problem with my 1994 NC29. Replaced the after market can with stock, 100 mains, 3 shims under stock needles, 35 pilots, 1.75 turns out on fuel screws, slide lift springs cut to 75mm. 55.79hp at 10,250 on the dyno and pulls strong through the entire range. No flat spots. Cheers
