Hi, I'm looking into getting a Super four, and I was wondering if there are things in particular I should look out for when going to take a look at one, and also where is the best place to buy parts for them?

Cheers

A mate went and bought one recently, it had damaged clocks and a damaged light.

Replacement clocks where Chinese I think and cost £80 or so and a Chinese light failed an mot due to the beam being just a big blob . A replacement light came from Dave silvers and I didn't want to know the price.

Most parts are got through Dave silvers or eBay but nice exhausts etc I think can only come new from Japan or 2nd hand from eBay.

after buying a 1993 400sf although a nice little bike I would advise buying the latest version you can afford as the later ones have a better fuel system.also information and aftermarket parts also more easily obtained. just check the usual, forks for pitting and seals, rear shocks for weeps [expensive], worn chain and sprockets. hear it start from cold and let it fully warm up. smell oil for petrol, brake pad and disc condition, etc etc. don't be rushed and have a ride and a listen.
