Gents,
Advice needed on carbs fitting.
My 89 NC30 just don't seat well.
The look original but hard rubber.
I'll sit the front then the rear is about 10mm out.
Surely can't be right. Can't see the arrows as worn away.
Does anyone undo the 2 carb connecting bolts.
Annoyed

so new rubbers on the way..! From DSS.
Advice/Best practice great fully received.
Cheers Lostan...

The nc35 carb rubbers are a better choice as they are slightly different from the 30's, I think there a bit more tapered which makes fitting easier, smear a little bit of grease or washing up liquid on them to ease them in, I usoualy tap the fronts in with a rubber mallet, once there seated properly the rears should go in with a tap from said mallet. Hope this is of some use, good luck.

Thanks, why are there two different ones for the front and rear cylinders on the nc35? And what does this mean for using them on an nc30 (if anything)

Yes, cylinders 1 and 3 share a common part, whereas 2 and 4 share another common part. Mostly the difference is to do with the positions of nipples for the bands that clamp the carbs to them. They are 100 per-cent compatible with the NC30.
