Now this is a strange one, the bike had been laid up for 8-9 years and its been uncovered fully serviced and all jobs done, however the bike does not want to turn in easy you have to push really hard and it feels like it gets to a point and wants to lay down on you.
The bike used to feel neutral i just can't put me finger on it............ is there such a thing as a base line / ie dimentions i can check over any help would be greatly appreciated.

Would be my suggestion too - 8 year old tyres would be knackered

Yeah check your tyres for right pressure etc, also maybe worth changing the fork oil, and checking the back shock linkages are all free.

This all depends on what you define as fully serviced and all jobs done, what exactly has been done?

Hi guys,
Before the long layup i rebuilt the forks using all honda bushes seals etc and they work fine, not that it can affect anything its had a full service new brakes etc, and recently a 17" wheel and supercorsa tyres also the bike has the jack up kit as supplied by rick.
its just strange my pal who i ride with has a nc30 and he drove it and feels the same as me its hard to steer and unpredictable i rode his and its easy to steer so instils confidence

I am going to increase the rear shock preload and check the head stock bearings today.

Head bearings would be my first thought if bikes been sat a while have you checked them for any notchiness or if they have been replaced set correctly ?
I made the mistake of setting bearings on the tight side thinking it would allow for bedding in the result was a bike that previously you only had to think were you wanted to be went with no real physical effort to one that required weighting the pegs and conscious input on the bars it felt horrible to ride .

Does it turn ok if you lift the front up? binding cables / phsyical interference is often over looked.
