How far out is the disc from the centre of the pads?

It might be worth contacting tyga for advice (if it's their bracket you purchased from Jap4).

Just saw this thread and sorry f you are having issues with our products or communication. We reply to all emails we receive, so if you don't get a reply, it will mean we didn't get it for whatever reason. We are at the end of the line for internet connection here in our part of Thailand so that may be a reason. :( Anyway, please don't hesitate to email me or Matt if you have an issue. best not send me a PM here because due to work load I don't always check this forum. Regarding the pads not lining up, it is highly unlikely that the manufacture of the hanger is wrong because they are made on a CNC machine so identical every time. That would suggest either incorrect assembly or incorrect part. Photos, measurements and details will help get to the truth...

Paul, could you list some bikes on which the correct caliper for this conversion can be found?

What benefits does the conversion give? is it lighter than the stock setup? any improvement in braking power on the very poor stock NC setup?

Cheers
Tony

If you go to our site, the calipers are shown under their specific model. As far as the V4s are concerned, we make one for the RVF400 and not the VFR400R. The RVF is the same as the MC28 so it just worked out that way.

As far as benefits, sorry, I don't really know! I never really use the back brake except softly at slow speed over sand and I don't do wheelies so no need to a Max Biaggi NSR500 style 'going over the back save' by stamping on the back brake so maybe best let others answer that one. I think it is more about looks to be totally honest.

I should add, on bikes like the MC21 and MSX125, it really does move a big ugly black lump from on top of the swing arm so I'd definitely recommend it for looks alone on those models.

It's gotta be lighter than the huge over built stock brackets on the RVF. It certainly looks like it is.

Surely this is more for improvement
I know my nc35 rear break is useless and it will just about slow me down ( I have cleaned the pistons, new pads, new hoses ect) so to only rely on the front break that's dangerous in my eyes
Emergency stop with just front break = dead lol
