nc30 LH switchgear?

The LH switchgear on my nc30 is faulty, the dip beam headlights won't work but full beam does, sometimes if I give the full beam switch a wiggle the dip beams will flicker. I've had it apart and it's looking pretty grim inside. I might have read r6 switchgear fits them? If not, do any others fit because I'm struggling to find any LH nc30 ones :(

No other bike model's switch gear plugs straight into the nc30 loom and works straight up. many other honda model switchgear from the same era (e.g. nsr250, cbr900) is physically the same, but you'll need to rewire some of the pins to make it work.

faulty LH switchgear is very common and the supply will only become worse in the future. I'm thinking of getting hold of a new honda unit in the future and writing a guide on how to replace the nc30 unit.

What bulbs do you have in your headlights?

H4R (60W/35W) or H4 (60W/55W)?

If you have H4 and haven't got a low beam relay mod then it'll have burnt out your switchgear.

You need to change this or you'll keep destroying switchgear!

thanks for the replies guys. i stripped the switchgear at work today and re soldered some wires, gave it a good clean up and sprayed some silicone lubricant inside it. Its fixed :D well, there is still a bit of a flicker when you press the full beam button but the dip beams are back on :)

Again, what bulbs do you have in there?

Your switchgear could easily just burn out again and your work will have been pointless.

I don't actually know, I only bought it a few days ago, I'm still getting to know it. I'll be stripping it and servicing it quite thoroughly over the next few weeks
