Removal of ignition barrel and fuel cap - lost keys

Hi all
I'm after some advice about the best way to remove the ignition barrel and fuel cap on an FZR when the keys have been lost. It's a long story but I was given the bike by a friend who has owned it for years and lost the keys some time ago in a house move...
Is there a way to do this which will minimise damage?
Thanks in anticipation of your help!

Minimal damage could mean throwing a bit of money at it.
Take the saddle off, then the fuel tank (Use pliers to turn the fuel tap to OFF a screwdriver will break it). Take the tank to a locksmith who should be able to pick the lock and supply a key ( get 2). Keep the reciept it should have the key number on it a new key could be cut from the number.
If the tank is to heavy then undo the top yoke - Main nut, the clip ones have anallen bolt through the yoke and undo the ignition electrics (You need the tank off to do this).

What model is it; the previous answer relates to 3TJ series.
On the earlier models it may not be possible remove the tank cover without the cap being removed first.
I dont think you can access the front tank mount to get the tank out with the tank cover on.
The top yoke should be easy to remove on the early models .
Worth trying taking that to a proper locksmith cos 1 key locksets are not cheap.
No guarantee that all the locks are the same fit after all these years though.

Ah .... to get the top yoke off you need to undo the electrical block connectors, which are under the tank. If it's an earlier FZR 1WG then the cap lock onto the fuel cell tank below the dummy tank shroud over it.
You might be able to get to the block connectors if you take the radiator off - You might be able to get your hand up under the frame rails if you just undo the mounts ... the connector blocks are red
