Hi guys, I Rode my first track day yesterday.... awesome fun.
Now I'm looking at the suspension to make sure it is setup right.
First of all, rear shock is standard (modifiedidogbone) and has been recently serviced, front has rick o springs (the stiffer ones if I recall correctly) and it has Chinese stanchions which are slightly longer than standard stanchions (6 mm I think). I weigh about 82 kg with kit.

Front static sag is about 25mm and an extra 10 with me on it.
Rear had minimal to no static sag but about 40mm with me on it (don't have the tool to make any adjustments)

Right front rebound is jammed all the way in
Left is half a turn from fully out to compensate
Rear rebound is 1 turn from fully out

Finally, if I hang the bike from a beam can I remove the cap from the right fork to try and loosen the right rebound adjuster (ie without worrying about oil spilling out) and are there any tricks to removing the aduster

I know it's a mixed bag of questions / comments but I don't think they each deserve their own thread :|
Thanks

Sag with kitted rider on board is ideally 1/3rd of suspension travel. At a guess off the top of my head, I would say your front could do with losing 5mm, but the rear is awful. To go from nearly no sag to 40mm suggests you need a fair bit of preload added, but I think you'd be better looking at a different shock or at very least a stiffer spring. New shock would be better cos that sounds like it may well be at the end of its useful life (i.e. fucked).

Front doesn't sound too healthy either, now that I comment of the stuck all the way in adjusters. To be honest, standard rebound does very little after one or two clicks out anyway, you'd be as well winding the other one in then out again 1 or 2 clicks max. To be brutally honest though, I'd suggest you strip the forks down and rebuild them making sure they work properly to get some real benefits. If you persist with the Chinese stantions, pull the forks through the yokes at least as much as required to return the bike to its stock rake angle.
