nc29 parts value

I think I am going to have to retire my bike and am thinking about breaking it up and selling a few bits that might get me some money back, but I know very little about the value of things and eBay and the internet aren't giving me much info. I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough idea of what to expect?

The following bits (in my limited experience) would probably be worth selling

Wheels
Forks
Fuel tank
Carbs
It has a Graeme France full exhaust system
Clocks
Ohlins sprung Cbr600 rear shock
It has just had a replacement fuel pump
Starter motor

I don't think the engine has got much life left in it as it is at 107kms, although it was running fine.

If anyone could give me a rough idea, I know condition plays a big part put just looking for ball park numbers, it would be much appreciated.

Will be a sad day when this happens as we have had many miles together..

Thanks

Michael.

Should probably add that it is a 93 type 7 nc29.

Wheels - Front wheel is worth more than the rear maybe £60 better sold as a pair to a NC23 owner for £100
Forks - only worth anything if they are the fully adjustable ones
Fuel tank - £30
Carbs - mebeh depends which model
It has a Graeme France full exhaust system - probably worth the most
Clocks - nah
Ohlins sprung Cbr600 rear shock - mebeh £60
It has just had a replacement fuel pump - nope
Starter motor - narp

thanks for the reply, I reckon it's got to be worth taking apart and selling a few bits rather than just binning the bike as it is. but as your reply suggests, probably only a few things worth anything.

Does anyone know how I go about disposing of the old engine and the chassis, as I presume I will need to inform the dvla that it will have been scrapped?

Thanks

Michael

Well, my most recent problems stemmed from the fuel pump dying, which I replaced and now the bike won't fire up, it just back fires, but it is getting to a point where things are starting to fail, due to the age and the mileage and I don't really want to keep throwing money at it, it's one of those situations where it is probably better to just cut my losses with it. I had a look at it the other day and have noticed that one of the front discs has cracked so they would need replacing now as well to get it back on the road. It's a shame as we have covered a lot of miles together but it is just one of those things.. I think when the weather gets warmer (and dryer) I will look at getting it all dismantled..

Michael.

Only 107k
Mine clocked over & the engine is still going.
Carbs however need new diaphragms.
I'd be interested in a front wheel defiantly & maybe carbs as I think they fit a 91 RR-L?
Where abouts are you ?
