B and C express will calc the sprockets and chain sizes. You need to know the sprpket sizes before you drop the gearing.
If you go through Kayla she can get a slight discount on the B+C price.

If this is your nc30(?) you can use a standard length chain (104 links) with a 14t front sprocket. If you go larger on the rear sprocket instead you may need a longer chain.

Sorry i didn't say the bike but it is my nc30 i currently have standard 525 gearing on it, so 104 links with 14t front 40 rear?
thanks for your time to answer my questions.

What is a 520 conversion? Always thought the 525 related to the pitch on the chain or something similar (I haven't ever messed about with mine until now so would be interesting to know

Bit of confusion going on between some of the terms used.

Maybe my reply is terrible too as I just got in from work and im tired but here goes.

All 500 series chains should have a 5/8" pitch (distance between the pins)

The difference between the 520-525-530 etc is the distance between the inner plates.

I think its like this:

530 chain - 3/8"
525 chain - 5/16"
520 chain - 1/4"

The strentgh of the chains is much the same but a wider sprocket has much stronger teeth.

For all pracital reasons you can switch to a 520 chain on a vfr which will give you a bit of weight saving.

im currently running a 525 non-oring chain which is narrrower as a 525 o-ring chain rubs on my 160 tyre.

not sure about the 520 chain overall width.

but, barrign clearance issues and unless its for a race bike, id buy whatever was the best deal.
