What is everyone doing when they're converting their clocks from KPH to MPH in regards to the odometer reading.

Are you leaving the mileage/kilometerage in Kilometers with the speedo showing MPH or are you rewinding the reading to the miles equivalent?

Also does anyone know if you change the dial to an mph one do you still need the converter at the rear of the speedo as well? Is it one or the other or both?

I would go for a Lockwood speedo face its pricey but looks like OEM and shows mph/kph and keeps your kms done accurate.

I know "Lockwood" dials did a MPH dial face that replaces the original KPH dial face, they are a bit pricey!

If you swap the dial face then I think that what you see will be MPH, so you won't have to use the little blue converter at the back. But I'm not 100% sure, it's been something I've wanted to do on my NC30.

Regarding the mileage I have no idea, I think the majority leave the odometer in KM. Personally I'd like to wind the clocks to read Miles so it's a proper job, but I don't know if this has been done.

I've got a lock wood speedo face fitted if interested I can pm you a picture of it fitted, allot better job than a mph sticker, all you have to do is swap the face over a 15 minute job if that.

If you fit a replacement dial like the lookwood it will show mph and kmh on the face, but the overal distance is still recorded in KM. Still no issue and easy to convert to miles

If you fit a blue motrax type gear convertor you keep the existing face but the km/h is now mph.

Also, from the point you fit it the odometer will read in miles.. so you have to make a note of its reading when you fitted it in km, convert it to miles and then add on whatever you do from that point onwards if you want to get an accurate odometer reading.

A blue box is easier to fit, but even a re-dial isnt difficult and will look better.

Lockwood is british made aswell, but yeah thats allot cheaper :) a mate of mine has one fitted to his 35.

The lockwood dial face looks more OEM if you want that look (which I love! lol)

If you fitted a dial face then your odometer would still tick over in KM but you could always turn the clocks to read miles as well
