I heard about this site and thought you guys would be the best group to ask about parts for my NC30. On the brakes side of things, what brake pads/disks do you guys recommend, specifically rear disk and pads. I really don't want to buy chinese crap and I'm not even entertaining the thought. So what do you guys use.

The rear brake is pretty useless on these bikes so I personally don't think it matters too much.
My preferred combo for road and track is the stock setup - standard Nissin pads, standard disc and stock rubber brake line (more feel than a braided line). A lightweight disc could be a decent weight saving on track, but not legal for roads.
Edit: Just to clarify, only talking about rear brake setup above!

As Cammo says - standard setup ll the way - probably some GG pads from Nissin/Honda and you are sorted. The rear brake is shit as standard..if yours is shit, that is normal

...as above. A well sorted set of MC/standard calipers/discs/pads will enable you to stand the bike on it's nose if you want to (I had the back end unintentionaly floating once or twice with some over exuberent entry speed into Park corner at the end of the straight at Cadwell park). I have automticaly swapped the OEM rubber hoses for braded ones - but that is just personal preference.
Also as said the back brake is mostly decorative, and is (at best) good for srubbing of a bit of speed when being cautious in the wet.

Standard brakes in good fettle are more than adequate imo, if you feel the need for better front brakes on an nc30 then theres probably something wrong. Might be a bit of chopping and changing pads wise, lots of people like different pads ive allways used EBC HH rated and never had a problem, only problem is ive managed to nearly wear through one set in 3500km
Ive got a set of PFM cast iron discs that im waiting to test out in the spring if the hype is anything to go by then they should be bloody brilliant so thats something to bear in mind but they arent cheap!

Thanks for the replies. My caliper was sticking and has messed the pads up a bit and that was the reason for looking into the brakes. Might renovate the rear caliper and just replace pads. Seen that my lower radiator is mashed and leaking and my top one has separated from it's brackets. Anyone know where to get OEM or really good quality reps?

If you want fit and forget and better than oem then get a set of Rick Oliver radiators (Forum mmeber, look him up in the approved traders)
perfect fit, better cooling and can use original fan.
you can get cheaper chinese copies but most need modifying to fit right, how well the metal will hold up is a test of time
