Carb service !!!!
Happy new year to all
Just some advice please
. I am going to treat my carbs to a service as its raining all the time lol.
Never done this before on a NC30 so all advice welcome as iam not the most confident.
I have downloaded Cammo's carb jetting guide ( very good read) and have ordered some extra long screw drivers.
Don't know when the carbs were last serviced. Its a UK model NC30 and it has that horrible
mid range flat spot which seems to be getting worse. It ticks over ok put seems to be a bit hesitant
to rev all the way out. Was going to order the following from RO -
RO road carb needle kit
needle shims
New main jets
Full seal kit
Ive got some carb cleaner, and jet needle cleaners.
The carb rubbers were only replaced last summer so no issues their.
Can anyone recommend any other parts or tools I might need ???
All advice welcome
Cheers
Chris

Re: Carb service !!!!
You wont need the needle shims if your getting the RO road carb needle kit. Just put the standard thin washer on the new needle
It's worth checking your air filter and you vacuum hoses whilst your there. If you've got the carbs off why not check your valve clearance's as well?

I'd be getting my mitts on a vacuum balancer too, will ensure everything runs like clockwork
