OK, nobody seemed interested but I'm going ahead anyway and getting an SF workshop manual translated onto English. I was hoping some folks on here might chip in as it would have worked out a lot cheaper. Instead, I'm going to flog a few on here and on eBay when they're finished.

Which is most popular, NC31 or NC39?

There's already an English version for the NC31, translated from the original Russian. It's not perfect, but it does the job.

yes, I've seen the Russian one, that's why I thought it might be a good idea to get it done properly I'll probably get both NC31 and NC39 manuals done and the supplements.

just a thought, the new Cb400Sf is being sold in Aus now. Not the same engine (v-tec with fuel injection and ABS), but many similarities. It might be worthwhile to acquire a copy of that manual...even if it only succeeds in persuading you to buy a new one. they are soooooo nice. 6 gears, sweet v-tec to run smoothly at low speeds while still kickin at high speeds, fuel injection for better efficiency and ABS for better stopping.....I love the bike as is, can't imagine a new spruced up one.
