Ethos pipes

Hi All,

I'm looking at buying my first NC30 (although not my first bike), and I've found one that I like. It's a very recent import from Japan and it looks pretty much stock and the fairings appear to be original. The bike will be used exclusively on the track, so I'm pretty keen to get a race system.

The seller has a 3/4 Ethos system with carbon cans that he's happy to give me for a few extra scheckles. I'm not familiar with Ethos (having owned a late model GSXR and Street Triple most recently), but a bit of googling tells me that they're supposed to be a pretty reasonable manufacturer.

Anyone have an Ethos system, or know much more about them? I'm really just trying to gauge the quality of the system relative to the alternatives so I can figure out whether it's worth it or not.

Cheers,

Fitty

I have a Ethos 1/2 system, quality bits of kit, sounds great too.

Other period systems are Yamamoto, JHA, TSR, plus a few more I can't remember.

Depends how much he wants for it though.

The most you should pay for a half system is probably about £300, and £450 for a full system (for an Ethos that is, IMO).

Ethos are quality. Simple as that.

There are very few shit systems fr the NC30/35 - mainly as they are not so easy to make, so why bother if it s going to be crap.

If you are racing it and want the power then a pukka full system is worthwhile IMO - losing the short stubby manifold on the back of the motor.

I'd not pay much more than £300 for a system these days...I have a full tyga on mine - it is lovely..

not sure if Drunkn Munky was selling a Hiperform system recently?

I'm in Australia and unfortunately, there's a pretty substantial increase in prices for parts compared with the UK. Sounds like it's worth the extra; only about $500 (~£300) and he's going to throw in some race glass, levers, rear sets and a few other odds and ends.

Cheers for the advice!

The titanium system is actually pretty good value compared to the stainless version. Still £600 before shipping though...
