RO HRC link

Looking for some info.

Currently I have a NC30 link i have drilled i think its at 8mm, anyway its drilled where ever it is supposed to be drilled and I run it with a modded Aprillia RS 250 shock. All is good it feels good it handles well and i get good tyre wear.

However my understanding is that the rear linkage on the NC30 is pretty progressive and not linear, this is a bad thig as I understand it and re drilling and shortening the link only makes the rear linkage more progressive.

So if i wanted to run the HRC rear link that RO sells which is a linear link as i understand it, what do i need to do to my RS250 shock to make it work with it.

The shock is due a service ready for next year so if its coming out its a good time to get the HRC link too.

A stock RS250 shock should be about right or maybe a little too soft depending on your weight if used with the HRC link, i dont know what spring a stock RS uses to cant be certain. Im guessing you've fitted a heavier spring to the shock so it works on your NC? did you have it revalved?

yeah had it revolved and fitted a 850lb Faulkner spring, i think i still have the stock spring that cam off it so should be able to find out what it was.

What's the benefit exactly of the link, i now that it provides a linear rate but why is that better?

Gives more side grip im told.

Your need to have your shock revalved again then.
